Dream Circle

“The general function of dreams is to try to restore our psychological balance by producing dream material that re-establishes, in a subtle way, the total psychic equilibrium”

C. G. Jung, Man & His Symbols, p. 34

What are dreams?

Dreams offer us a window into our unconscious psyche. A dream expresses an unconscious pattern or situation that wants to be integrated into consciousness, but, like a poem, we have to understand its metaphors. The images that arise in our dreams are non-rational communications whose meaning can be understood through intuition and feeling. In Dream Circle, participants will learn how to use intuition and connect more deeply to their emotions to reveal the meaning of their dreams.

What to expect:

Dream Circle is a 6 week container in which participants will learn the basics of dream work in a communal setting. The first week Olivia will introduce the basics of dream theory and our method of approaching them. Each subsequent week one participant will share a dream with the group and we will work together to reveal the meanings of the dream images. We will also learn a technique called visionary meditation, which is the practice of reentering the dream through a meditative state.

“The images in dreams and spontaneous fantasies are symbols, that is, the best possible formulation for still unknown or unconscious facts, which generally compensate the content of consciousness or the conscious attitude.”

C.G. Jung, Mysterium Coniunctionis, para. 772
