Olivia Vargas, PhD created Sacred Psyche Coaching by combining depth psychological principles and kundalini yoga techniques to support you in a deep, embodied healing journey. Depth psychology uses dreams and visionary meditation to unearth unconscious patterns so you can begin to hold your pain with more awareness. Kundalini yoga strengthens your subtle energy system and your mind so you can face your pain with courage and grace. By using the body and the breath, old emotions and habits are cleared out of the unconscious psyche.
Our suffering doesn’t come solely from our outer world situations and circumstances. It exists within us. Long after a painful experience has ended, it continues to live on within us. Memories are not just mental pictures, but storehouses of emotions which affect our physical body and energetic body. Accessing these repressed emotions allow us to release them along with the past. We don’t have to continue suffering from old wounds.
Combining these two traditions provides a healing at the deepest level of your being in a way that is easy to integrate because you are working through your mental, emotional, physical, and energetic bodies together. The result: your suffering eases, you have a new strength along with new tools to face future challenges, and you begin to discover your Sacred Self, which is beyond the old stories you tell about yourself.

About Olivia Vargas, PhD.

I earned my PhD in Depth Psychology with an emphasis on Jungian and archetypal psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2026. I have hundreds of hours of kundalini yoga & meditation training under the guidance of Guru Singh. I am currently studying Sat Nam Rasayan, a meditative healing art, under the guidance of SiriSimran Kaur.
My story is a common one–at least the beginning of it. The path I took and where it would lead me is perhaps less common, but only because I walked it with complete conviction and dedication. The personal transformation that occurred along the way has inspired me to share the tools I found and guide others who are ready to have a different experience of life and self.
Throughout my teenage years and my early twenties I was wild with emotion–passion, rage, sadness–and succumbed to substances to numb it all away. I was guarded and toxic…and in so much pain. I was plagued with depression, anxiety, and self-loathing.
Although I grew up in a “spiritual but not religious” household, all the “change your thinking, change your life” mantras couldn’t help me overcome the deep pain I felt inside. Then one day in my college apartment, I tried kundalini yoga on YouTube for the first time. Within ten minutes I fell to my knees and cried. I knew immediately that this was the thing that was going to change my life. I found an in-person class, and within months I was completely sober and alive with possibility. For the first time, I felt in command of my life.
After a couple of years, I became a certified kundalini yoga instructor. I realized that many of my students were just like me–searching for another way to experience life. I also realized that many of my students were just like me in that they had unintegrated trauma. This inspired me to go back to school to get my PhD in Depth Psychology (psychology of the unconscious) to make my approach to spirit and psyche more effective.
Sacred Psyche Coaching is the amalgam of my psychological expertise, my yogic training in kundalini yoga and Sat Nam Rasayan, and my own spiritual journey back to loving myself.
